EJEPL August Showcase Recap
The Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League opened its 2026-27 campaign with a packed August Showcase featuring 483 games across age groups from 10U through 18U. The three-day event brought together programs from across the EJEPL footprint, up and down the East Coast of the US, and delivered an early opportunity for teams to compete, build chemistry and establish momentum for the season ahead.
The summaries below reflect how the showcase was organized. At 10U, 12U and 14U, teams competed in combined Diamond, Futures Gold and Futures Silver groupings; the Gold 1/Gold 2 and Silver 1/Silver 2 subdivisions were created after the event. Numbered divisions were used during the showcase only at 16U and 18U. Records were verified against the official GameSheet standings, including crossover games credited to each team. Individual scores from lopsided games have intentionally been omitted.
10U
10U Diamond
Peconic Wildcats led the 10U Diamond standings with 11 points after winning all four showcase games. New Jersey Titans - Alessi also collected 11 points over five games, while Central Florida Bears earned three wins and a tie. Long Island Kings and Wonderland Wizards each finished 3-1 in a strong opening-weekend field.
10U Futures Gold
The 10U Futures Gold field produced several standout weekends. Cranford Hockey Club - 1, Long Beach Lightning, Union Thunder, Nassau County Lions and Long Island Kings each completed 4-0 runs. Charleston Jr. Stingrays also earned four victories in five games, while Long Island Edge, Cranford Hockey Club - 2, Jersey Wolves, Aviator Hockey Club and Ridgefield Lions each recorded three wins.
10U Futures Silver
Reading Jr. Royals led a busy 10U Futures Silver field with three regulation wins and an overtime loss. New York Stars, Loudoun Knights, Potomac Patriots, Pelham Pelicans - Casey and Peconic Wildcats also posted three-win weekends. New Rochelle Lightning added a showcase victory as teams used the weekend to establish their competitive placement for the season ahead.
12U
12U Diamond
Charleston Jr. Stingrays led 12U Diamond with a 5-0 weekend and 15 points. Loudoun Knights followed with a perfect 4-0 performance. The division brought together a varied group of opponents and provided a substantial early-season test across the three-day showcase.
12U Futures Gold
The combined 12U Futures Gold showcase field was highlighted by perfect 4-0 weekends from Aviator Hockey Club, Princeton Jr. Tigers, Hampton Roads Warriors and Easton Icehawks - Thomas. Long Island Kings - Wittekind also delivered a strong offensive weekend, while the full field gained four valuable games against a broad mix of opponents.
12U Futures Silver
Howard Huskies - Preston/Dillon and Long Island Sharks both completed 4-0 weekends in the 12U Futures Silver field. Union Thunder - Hawryluk and Old Dominion Kings each followed with 3-1 records, while New Jersey Colonials also earned a showcase victory as teams competed for their eventual regular-season placement.
13U and 14U
13U Diamond
Howard Huskies finished atop the 13U Diamond standings with nine points after earning three wins in four games. Long Beach Lightning also collected three victories, while South Westchester Blackhawks paced the division in goals for and Long Island Gulls posted the top defensive mark.
14U Diamond
Central Florida Bears delivered a 5-0 showcase to lead 14U Diamond with 15 points. Nassau County Lions also finished unbeaten at 4-0. The division featured several competitive programs and offered a strong opening checkpoint heading into the regular season.
14U Futures Gold
Triad Storm finished 5-0 to headline the 14U Futures Gold field. Long Island Kings, Northwest Icehawks, Aviator Hockey Club, Loudoun Knights and Pelham Pelicans also completed unbeaten 4-0 weekends. The deep showcase group generated several strong early-season runs before teams were separated into their regular-season subdivisions.
14U Futures Silver
Delco Phantoms - Sheehan completed a 4-0 weekend to lead the 14U Futures Silver field, while Baltimore Stars - Tregobov followed at 3-1. Princeton Jr. Tigers collected two victories and Potomac Patriots added a win and a tie during a competitive weekend used to establish the season’s later subdivisions.
15U through 18U
15U Diamond
Atlantic City Sharks led the 15U Diamond standings with a 3-1 record and nine points. Howard Huskies earned two regulation wins and an overtime victory, while Nassau County Lions also collected two wins. The closely grouped results made the division one of the weekend’s more balanced fields.
16U Diamond 1
New York Stars completed a 5-0 showcase and finished atop 16U Diamond 1 with 15 points. Central Florida Bears earned four victories in five games, while Long Island Edge and Loudoun Knights each posted 3-1 records in a competitive nine-team group.
16U Diamond 2
Long Island Gulls and Hunterdon Bears each won all four showcase games, with both teams earning overtime victories along the way. Long Island Gulls finished atop the standings with 11 points, just ahead of Hunterdon’s 10, as the division produced a compelling race at the top.
16U Futures 1
Triad Storm finished 5-0 and led 16U Futures 1 with 15 points. West Point Jr. Black Knights followed with a perfect 4-0 weekend, while Easton Icehawks was among the teams collecting three victories. Several clubs remained closely grouped through the four-game schedule.
16U Futures 2
Long Island Sharks - Tory finished atop the official division standings with six points, level with Long Island Sharks - Rudzewick. Peconic Wildcats also reached the two-win mark, while the rest of the group gained a valuable four-game early-season test.
18U Diamond 1
New York Stars completed a 4-0 weekend to lead 18U Diamond 1 with 12 points. Delco Phantoms followed at 3-1, while Flyers Youth Hockey and Snider Hockey each split four games. The results created a clear early leader while keeping the middle of the division tightly grouped.
18U Diamond 2
Long Island Kings finished 4-0 and shared the top point total with Triad Storm, which earned four wins in five games. Great Neck Bruins followed with a 3-1 record, while Baltimore Stars split four contests. The division offered a competitive opening weekend across the board.
A Strong Opening Weekend
From first shifts at 10U to the pace and structure of the 18U divisions, the August Showcase provided a valuable start to the EJEPL season. Congratulations to every player, coach, official, and family who helped make the weekend possible. The league now placed their Gold and Silver teams in the proper divisions and turns its attention to the regular season and the development, competition and team growth still to come.
