2025-2026 EJEPL Midget Playoff Preview

The EJEPL is gearing up for the 2025-2026 #BattlefortheBanner! Playoffs beginning January 30–February 1, 2026, featuring the 15U–18U Diamond and Futures divisions. Let’s preview the matchups for all seven divisions as they get ready to faceoff for the ultimate prize - the EJEPL Championship!

Iceworks Skating Complex (Aston, PA) will once again play host as the 15U Diamond, 16U Diamond 1 & 2, and 16U Futures 1 & 2 get ready to take the ice.

The top seeded 15U Diamond Long Island Edge will take on the Long Beach Lightning, while second seed Union Thunder takes on Union Genesis Hockey Club. The winner of each game will face off in the final division championship.

16U Diamond 1 semi-final matchups will feature top seeded Genesis Hockey Club vs. the New York Stars and second seed Hershey Jr. Bears vs. Delco Phantoms Charbonneau. Each game’s winner will face off in the final battle, the championship.

The Potomac Patriots who finished the regular season as the top seed in the 16U Diamond 2 division will play the South Westchester Blackhawks, while the Loudoun Knights, who finished as the second seed, will play the Delaware Jr. Blue Hens. The final championship will bring together the winners from each of these semifinal matchups.

16U Futures 1 playoff action is packed! Top seed Hunterdon Bears and second seed Long Island Sharks will be watching the quarterfinal matchups to scout out their potential semifinal opponents. The quarterfinal matchups will feature: Peconic Wildcats against Mid Hudson Polar Bears and North Park Hockey against Loudoun Knights. The winner of each semi will meet each other in the finals to play it out for the division title.

The top seed in the 16U Futures 2 division, Delco Phantoms Miller will face the Pelham Pelicans in the semifinals, while the second-seeded Peconic Wildcats face Delco Phantoms Crumlish. The championship game will feature the winner of these semifinals and ultimately determine the champion.

On the ice at Middletown Ice Arena (Middletown, NJ) we will see the 18U Diamond 1 and Diamond 2 divisions battling it out for the EJEPL Championship.

18U Division 1 will kickoff with a quarterfinal game featuring seed four, New York Stars against seed five, the Putnam Panthers. The winner moves on to the semifinals to take on top-seeded Genesis Hockey Club, while the second semifinal will match second-seeded Snider Hockey against third-seeded Nassau County Lions. Once the semifinal games are decided, a championship matchup will be set and ready to crown the champion.

The quarterfinals for 18U Diamond 2 will see Long Island Edge (seed four) play Genesis Hockey Club (seed five) as they fight to advance to the semis where the winner will face off against division top seed North Park Youth Hockey. Also fighting to make it to the semis will be the Richmond Generals (seed two) playing the Long Island Kings (seed three). Who will be at the top remains to be seen as we await the winners of the semifinals to determine the championship matchup.
